This app evaluates the stress concentration factors along the bore of a plain or countersunk hole in a wide plate subjected to tension, out-of-plane bending or pin loading. The data on which the program is based are derived from a three dimensional analysis of the stress distribution around the hole.

ESDU 93030 should be consulted for full descriptions of the parameters, the method and its derivation.

Notes

For 'Bending' and 'Tension' loading cases, both countersunk and plain holes are permitted. Note that for countersunk holes $\theta_c$ is fixed at 100 deg.

For a 'Pin' loading case only plain holes are permitted.
