Hysteresis and adhesion - an algebraic model deduced from output from a British Pendulum
Abstract:
A viable algebraic model for resistance to the start of motion of a rubber block on any surface regardless of the presence or absence of water is developed. It is a logical extension of the hypothesis advanced in ESDU TM 202 that the material in the interface has mechanical properties related to but different from those of the bulk material.
