Abstract:
Bolotin's method is described for the estimation of modal densities of curved isotropic panels with cylindrical, spherical or doubly-curved profiles. The modal densities of isotropic cylinders and spheres are also presented. Curved, sandwich panels with either cylindrical or spherical surfaces are considered. Expressions for sandwich panels with double curvature are given. A computer program is provided for the estimation of the modal densities of curved, cylindrical sandwich panels with isotropic cores.Indexed under:
