ESDU 77023
Shear centre and primary warping constant for lipped and unlipped channel and Z-sections.
Abstract:
ESDU 77023 gives curves and formulae neglecting any shear variation across the wall thickness so that they apply when the thickness is less than the web height/15. Graphs give the shear centre and warping constant for channel sections with inward and outward facing lips as a function of geometry, and the warping constant for a lipped Z-section, also as a function of geometry. The cases of all sections without lips are included.Indexed under:
- Channel Sections with Lips turned inwards
