ESDU Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchanger Analysis Software includes the computer program ESDU EXPRESS, plus a range of supporting Design Guides. EXPRESS is an advanced program for the rapid design and analysis, performance prediction and cost estimation of shell-and-tube heat exchangers. Designed for process engineers and designers in PetroChem, oil and gas, the powerful intuitive graphically-driven features of EXPRESS simplify the design process and allow engineers to investigate rapidly old and new technologies for the most cost-effective solution.
ESDU EXPRESS includes a number of improvements and new features. New is the facility to inspect tube vibration at the initial design stage. This is achieved by a unique graphical technique that demonstrates the interaction of design geometry and vibration. The engineer can then investigate design modifications and design out the problem within the acceptable design envelope, also shown graphically.
The Design Guides encapsulate underlying methodologies, and guide the user in practical aspects of shell-and-tube heat exchanger design and analysis.
