Abstract:

Approximations are presented for the thermodynamic and transport properties of high-temperature air. Compressibility, enthalpy, entropy, the specific heats, the speed of sound, the coefficients of viscosity and thermal conductivity, and the Prandtl number for air are tabulated from 500 to 15,000 K over a range of pressures from 0.0001 to 100 atmospheres.
